Recommended foot strap positions

pic. 36

Beginner
The position illustrated on pic 36 is a light wind setting. The straps are centered and moved forward to the mast base to ensure stability and easy rig handling. Make sure to always use straps and step right into this position the first time you get on board.

Intermediate
On pic 37 the straps are moved backwards, but still centered. Stability is ensured as well as correct position in relation to the weight point of your sail in medium-light to medium wind strength. This is the perfect position to learn to get on a plane.

Pro
Pic 38 illustrates the high wind position. The straps are moved out and further back to give you an ideal planing position. Place straps all the way back for maximum performance and upgrade to a 65 cm fin for a Formula feeling. The Start is closer to a Formula board than anything else....
