1. Mount the foot straps in your desired position. (Pic.1)
Important: Do not forget the washers, and make sure the rough (saw blade) edges are facing down, and the anti-twist plates are in position (for more details on how to install the footstraps, please refer to the installation guide also included with the board).
(Pic.36) shows the recommended beginner position.

2. Insert your fin into the fin box. Place the fin-bolts and metal washers inside the rubber safety-washers and insert the fin bolts into board through the fin-bolt holes. Finally, tighten the screws well-without using too much force (Pic.2).

3. The "Daggerfin" is retractable. When sailing in non-planing conditions, slide the fin knob back with your foot, moving the fin into a vertical position. As soon as you start to plane, slide the knob forward again to relocate the fin into the board (Pic.3).
Important: When pushing the fin knob with your foot, it is essential that pressure is distributed forwards and backwards only. If you press the knob downwards, you may jam the fin assembly in the box.

4. Assemble the two piece mast, and insert it into the mast sleeve of your sail. (pic's 4 & 5)

5. Insert your mast foot into the mast base, and attach your down haul. Tighten it to obtain a slight tension to the luff pocket of your sail. (Pic 6)

6. Place the boom in a suitable position according to your height, and clamp it on. Correct boom position is approximately equal to your shoulder height. (Pic's 7 & 8)

7. Tighten your outhaul until a nice even curve is obtained. Too much tension will flatten your sail and reduce it's power. (Pic 9). Make sure the outhaul is securely fastened in the boom end cleat, and do an extra loop or knot around the boom. It helps you to get rid of the access rope as well as working as a second outhaul security lock.
